All aboard for In-Ovation: Transitioning to the Self-Ligation Interactive Bracket System (2hours)

As more orthodontic practices embrace the concept of Self-Ligation, it is becoming apparent that stainless steel and elastomeric ligature ties will eventually be as outdated as full banding is today. While changing bracket systems in an orthodontic office can be disruptive during the transition, when the treatment results are analyzed, the benefits to the patients and the practice have been shown be enormous! This presentation will focus on the self-ligating series of brackets, appropriate wires, and sequencing tips and tricks for easier, quicker finishing enabling patients to enjoy a cleaner, and more aesthetic appearance.

The In-Ovation LMTM system: A handy tool in your bag of tools (2 hours)
The In-Ovation LMTM system is designed for today’s orthodontist to easily tap into the growing market of cosmetic correction with a cost-effective, aesthetically appealing alternative to plastic tray aligners, spring retainers or veneers. It enables doctors to correct minor misalignments with minimal office and chairtime. The purpose of this presentation is to introduce the virtually invisible, In-Ovation  LMTM self-ligating lingual bracket system.

3D imaging CBCT technology for diagnosis, treatment planning, and communication (2 hours)
Orthodontists had traditionally used two-dimensional X-Rays and photos for diagnosis and treatment planning. The current three-dimensional (3D) technology provides accurate 3D hard and soft tissue imaging. The objectives of this talk are: to present the 3D imaging Cone Beam Computer Tomography (CBCT) technology, describing the 3D record taking process and the experience using it in a private orthodontic practice for diagnosis, treatment planning, patient communication and treatment.

Why children should have an orthodontic check-up no later than age 7?  A Review of Early Orthodontic Treatment Indications (2hours)
The “Gold Standard” for initiating orthodontic treatment is known to be during the adolescent growth spurt and or the late mixed to early permanent dentition; this timing has shown to be the most effective and efficient. Why deviate from this standard and initiate treatment earlier? The objectives of this presentation are to present what orthodontic problems are effectively and efficiently managed prior to the Gold Standard. The published data available to date is covered, and the different indications for early orthodontic treatment are presented with the use of different clinical cases.
